Very nice pic! Living on the west coast I have never seen a cardinal other than in a bird store, much better 2 C 1 not captive!

How sad they are captive...they are common here and our state bird. We also have Indigo Buntings which are beautiful, but they are elusive. We have one in the summer that comes to our feeder.

We have an occassional one of those (if they're the same ones) but rarely see them. Do they have a brownish orange breast?

Yes they do. There r about the same color as a Blu-jay but much smaller

You had me fooled...I was going to ask why you had cardinals when you had snow...I live in Michigan and they are gone long before we get snow......

Actually, I always thought they left in the winter, but I guess they hang around here. Just see them if we feed them.

Wonderful picture, belongs on a greeting card. I'm really impressed with the falling snow. I don't see that here in Florida. It's just a beautiful picture, hands down.
