Oh yeah! She'll calm down with age, for sure. Also, I have many tips on how to lovingly get them to stop an unwanted action if you want to hear them. Let me know if you want to hear some of them. My kitty has never done ANYTHING bad to the carpet or any other items. She is amazing, (((I think she's part human;););)

I really would be interested in hearing some tips...one of the worst things Meg does is rip at the wallpaper in the hall and I have no idea how to get her to stop lol

Ok, get a soda can and put some pennies in it. When she starts the unwanted action, shake it! It helps if you're closer to her than farther. Another thing that, (Thank God,) works with my kitty is clapping really loud! Might hurt your hands, though! Be careful;) Or a squirt bottle with water in it, not a spray, but if it shoots really straight, a straight stream. 'Most' cats will not like this! Repeat every time they do something unwanted. I really hope these ideas help you! Oh! There are also products on the market you can spray on the items you don't want them to touch, I've heard one good one is called Boundaries

Might also try putting a second litter box with a different kind of litter. I had one cat once that wouldn't use the one box/litter for certain business.

That's a good idea, there are 2 litter trays but the same litter in both - I'll try a different litter in one of them - thanks!

Yes the squirt bottle is a blessing with all the fur babies in my house...if someone is doing something wrong and i have to squirt them, the rest of the kids run and hide in case i miss the one i was aiming for....it works with all my kids except for one....he will do something wrong and i squirt him to correct it and as soon as i turn my back or leave the room he is right back doing the same thing again....i call him my spoiled 2 year old because he keeps going thru the terrible 2's

Thanks...funniest thing with him is that when he is squirted, he will slap at the cat nearest to him as if to blame that cat for getting him into trouble...lol
