Today I posted the sparrow, pelican and 2 of the snowy owl. The snowy owl very rarely comes as far south as Florida. It has been here, in the Jacksonville area for almost a week now. He is at a place called Little Talbot Island, right on the cost. And, yes, I took all the pictures I post.

Not alot. I've learned somethings from the local audobon here when I go on bird walks with them. I'm no expert at all. I just love watching birds.

He is either very lost or very smart to avoid the snowstorms up north. And surprisingly well camouflaged in that setting.

In the warmer months they are around the artic circle and higher. In the colder months they come down to Canada and the upper northern states in America. A snowy owl has been reportedly seen in Florida only twice before. So this is a very rare sighting.
