I found a couple more pics he took http://talesfrombeyondjohn.blogspot.com/search?q=TOP+OF+THE+WORLD&max-results=20&by-date=true to post for you and they might be approved soon, and might answer your question. I believe he only got as far as the Swiss Alps.
