The puzzle pieces look as if they would be lumpy to lay on. Maybe her fur was blunting the edges? Or maybe it's more comfy to cats that it looks to humans?

She is definitely the ruler in this house! Maybe she couldn't feel the pieces through all that fur? It does make building a jigsaw much harder
