A man built it for his wife and they lived in it for a number of years. At night the head has eyes that light up. I remember my Mammaw asking us kids as we passed by did we know why they built it with it's head towards the road and she would chuckle and say "so it wouldn't poop in the road" She got a kick out of us begging her to tell us every time we passed it.
