We've had more birds than ever before this year. The blue bird is an indigo bunting. We now have seven of them. A Rose breasted grosbeak shows up every year and stays for a very short while before moving on. This year, I guess he brought his family as we have 9 of them at last count. We are hoping they will stay so we are filling up the feeders every day. They will end up migrating but hopefully we can enjoy them for awhile.

We so enjoy them but they will thin out, probably later this month. In the past, indigos males fight each other off so we usually end up with just one pair. They haven't so far. The goldfinches thin out to about 3 pairs when others put their feeders out. The cardinals fight each other, too, so only a pair stay around. They haven't so far, either.
