You can just pour paint on the canvas or what I did on this one is cut the bottom off of a plastic drink bottle, center it on the canvas, water paint down a bit and pour the layers of paint on the bottle. It runs down the grooves onto the canvas. When you have the colors you want, remove bottle, put cling wrap plastic over the paint you poured and move the paint where you want it to go then carefully remove the plastic.

Thanks both of you for the link and explanation of the method. It sounds like it takes a lot of coordination, so maybe not for me.I'm very clumsy. The results are really striking, though.

GREAT PAINTING!!!....I do wonder if it can be 'fitted in' or has an exact place in the huge tree that is art history (the method), kind of Warhol for the modern method, meets that guy whos huge canvases are spatterings of paint of all colours....

Phil, do you mean Jackson Pollock? He's the guy who dribbled paint all over the canvases.
