Was your home damaged? You had to evacuate? I am 55 and have not had to evacuate from my home, I can not imagine what that must feel like!

No, we were very fortunate....the trees just missed our house. We were both at work when it came up. I had to stay at work to take care of residents so it was the next day before I saw the damage. Without power for 13 days, but it sure could have been a lot worse.

You ain't kiddin" The longest I have gone without power is 3 days and that was enough! I can not imagine 13 days!! We had a really nasty ice storm that hit the first year I moved up here. Of course, there are no nice ice storms, LOL You are fortunate!
