Finally!
It took me a while, but I finally got all of my completed games viewed all of my moves made. I am now caught up; in fact, I am not at that point again where there's not a move for me to make everytime I look at the screen. I enjoy playing at work, where I don't have to make my move at any particular time. The best is when I am grading papers. I can grade a page, make a move, grade a page, make a move. The trouble is when a new tournament (or 3) get started and I get way behind. The Walk in The Park tournaments really got me behind.
I don't get as much time to play at home anymore since we now have two boys (almost 5 and the other is 3). When they get to bed, there are usually about 2 and a half hours to get everything done, and when school is in, sometimes it's just too tiring to do anything. Then, I can't just sit here at work all day and play, so it stacks up. At least I can play at lunch. I dread the day when the firewall blocks all games, but there are so many sites with educational games, I would think they wouldn't block Goldtoken. Plus, it is not a live playing game, for the most part.
Teaching beats working for a living, but what I'd really like to do is write. I just don't know what about and I don't have a lot of time. I've been thinking I might find a creative writing sources on-line to get the juices flowing. I've also contemplated this blog, which likely no one will look at, and I may not have time to get to often (lunch is about over), but maybe it will be an outlet for me.
Time to see if it is my turn in Rummikub!

Re: Finally!
Oh but I did read your blog!
You'd have a lot more time to write - if you really wanted to - if you don't play online games. **tease**
Or if you don't watch TV. I gave up watching TV some years ago because I wanted to write. (I did and still watch movies though.) I have a manuscript finished.
But that's the easy part. ;~)
Even if you don't have time to actually write, jot down notes about stuff that you think you might like to write about... the boys, school, whatever tickles your fancy. One day these notes might come in handy.

Re: Finally!
Perhaps you could write about playing on this site, a lot of different people, personalities and experience contained within, cheers, Ian

Re: Finally!
Good start.
You know they say that it usually helps to write something every day. Anything. Many days you won't have anything to say, and you hardly write anything. But you will find days where you do have something to say.
You can think about whether you want to write fiction or maybe some non-fiction first. As a teacher, maybe you would enjoy writing something where you teach someone how to do something? Just to get your writing started.
But really just write anything, and ideas will start coming.
