Glad to hear you're coming along with Covid, sorry to hear about your neighbor "lifestyle".

COVID-19 didn't last very long. Taste is slowly returning.
Today the wind started blowing favorably. I'm not quite as sick as I have been for the last few days. If the wind continues in a few days the damage to my body and sickness caused by the poison, stench and filth from the apartment above may be gone...at least until the next wind shift.
The effect of COVID-19 pales in comparison to that of my "neighbors".

Already I could kinda' taste tonight's supper. Furthermore I no longer sound like Mercedes McCambridge as Pazuzu.

GinnyB ... you're not Gilbertei.
Oops
You could have identified that mistake had you read the previous posts.

If jabs stopped you catching bugs, we would have eliminated flu by now.
The viruses mutate.

As you're fully vaccinated hopefully you're be on th mend soon

Because the "jabs" don't prevent you from catching it, they're only supposed to prevent you from getting the heavy effects.

MMMM so what reason do you have putting my name up?.. I have NO COMMENT on the Covid fear... Since you've had 5 JABS, why did you even get Covid???

Thanks again dear friends. It appears that the current thought of KP.3.11 Omicron being the prevailing variant is true. That plus my 5 vaccinations have so far kept it from being a big deal for me. The only real difficulty I'm having is when the filth, stench and poison from my neighbors come wafting in.
GinnyB I coincidentally bought a box of peppermint Altoids earlier this month.

G'luck that it ends quietly and quickly!

We read that if you are on Paxlovid, and have that terrible taste after taking the pill, cinnamon Altoids helps with it. Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks folks.
I lost taste just this morning (as if I ever had any). A tangerine I was eating tasted like insecticide. I later realized that tobacco smoke was wafting in. I think this stench had overpowered the tangerine but I didn't recognize it.
I forgot to mention that also in my medicine chest are several gummy products of the recently legalized cannabis. I've not yet incorporated any of them into my current COVID therapy. Each has a somewhat different effect and I don't need any of those effects yet. I think I'm spacing out (fever does this to me)...later folks!

(#5638245) I have contracted COVID-19
Posted by fatdaddy on 16 Oct 2024 at 3:05PM
I tested myself on the 11th and got a red C. This is the not so sure negative result. At the E.R. on the 14th I was diagnosed with it. Out of curiosity I tested myself again at home on the 15th and got a red C and T which is a definite positive result.
Fever and fatigue are currently the most common manifestations of the disease until the poison and filth from my neighbors comes wafting in. Then I cough, hack up blood tinged infection, sneeze uncontrollably and experience other complications.
In my drug cabinet are guaifenesin/dextromethorphan, acetaminophen, several kinds of antihistamines, a steroidal nasal spray and a steroidal inhaler. I hate steroids and have not needed to use the inhaler yet. My humidified APAP keeps me breathing well until the wafting.
I have also procured a prescription of Paxlovid. if I decide to use that I will have to avoid the steroidal nose spray, several other daily medications and MAMA_MIA! garlic.
