If you knew anything about his life outside of the wrestling ring, he was most definitely not of "good character". Even in wrestling, he was a union buster for athletes trying to get better conditions & health benefits. He made very racist remarks and was recorded freely using the N-word. I think a lot of people are mourning part of their childhood with memories of him and not the real person. Sometimes our childhood idols don't stand up to grown up scrutiny.
