I once bought a pet rat from K-Mart. Grey Mouse I named him Clyde.
With his cage on the garage floor I went about doing things that typical 11 year olds do.

(unknown photo) Coming home for supper I noticed the westward facing open garage was lit up quite brightly by the sun and this included Clyde's cage. The closer I got the more I could tell that Clyde was not only stationary but had shrunk a bit. The sun did a number on him. I imagine he was upset with me for a time while he was cooking. Yuck
