Penne is a type of Macaroni, there are many shapes and sizes of "Pasta" .
Parmesan cheese, also known as Parmigiano-Reggiano, is a hard, granular cheese produced from cow's milk, originating from Italy. It is aged for at least 12 months and is celebrated for its rich, nutty flavor, making it a popular choice for grating over pasta, soups, and salads. The cheese is primarily produced in specific regions of Italy, including Parma, Reggio Emilia, and Modena. Parmesan is often referred to as the "king of cheeses" due to its widespread popularity and culinary versatility.
Most times it comes in a container that is basically shredded but those types have additives so that it doesn't clump, but the best way to have it when it's freshly shredded either when you purchase the cheese itself and shred it yourself, or buy it freshly shredded without any additives
