(#5639007) Multipoint Fire Spiller games

I don't think this is a bug, as it appears the game is playing according to the rules, but I'm not sure it is what was intended.
I'm in a few multipoint Fire Spiller games where players have timed out, essentially making them two player games. That means each victory is now only worth one point as you score one point 'for each of their opponents still on the board' and there is only one other person still in play. In the normal game you would score 3 points at this point.
Would it make sense for the players to score 3 and 2 points respectively, rather than 1 and 0, to stop games becoming interminably long?
