Wild Girl I'm not sure if you know but the images entered here can not be edited to alter the photo and the images that you enter for the competition must be taken by you, a friend or family member - not searched for on the Internet.
It must be a new image, not previously used in the Photozone competition.
We would love to see your photos that you haven't altered.
There is a board here that invites photo albums from the internet you may be interested in also Photo Album Contest
If anyone thinks someone has entered an image that's been previously used please send me a private message and I will check it out.

Looking over your photos, the pictures that have their thumbnails show up properly in the folders seem all to be .jpg format and the ones with the broken image icon and no thumbnail picture are all .png format pictures.
I'm not sure why this is so and how to fix it.
At the very least, if you would convert the .png pictures into .jpg pictures and upload those then they should show up properly.

Fata Morgana, according to wiki, is a type of superior mirage that occurs when light is bent through layers of different temperatures in a steep temperature inversion where an atmospheric duct is present.
Normally, I could only see about 5 miles out from where I'm standing. This ship, the Isabella G, was 18-20 miles off shore - behind the curvature of the Earth - and should not have been visible. However, because of the effects of this mirage, I was briefly able to see the Isabella G before it disappeared.
