was written by Toni Wine and Carol Bayer Sager channeling a composition by Muzio Clementi (1752-1832).
It was first recorded by Diane & Annita in 1965.
Later that same year it was recorded by the Mindbenders. They reached #1 on a couple charts with it. The lead vocal was sung by Eric Stewart who several years later can be heard singing "I'm Not in Love" (and many others) by 10cc.
In 1988 Phil Collins also reached #1 on a few charts with it,
