we were recently contacted by a certain Mr. Donald Sleazy, CEO of a company aptly named Backwardism Inc. Mr. Sleazy has informed us that he has secured a payment of $5,000,000.00 from an exiled Nigerian prince, in return for an unspecified service or services. He also notified us that he plans to use this money to purchase the exclusive rights to the lucrative Backgammon(TM) brand.

As we cannot afford to risk a lengthy court process, we have no choice but to comply with Mr. Sleazy's demands and rename our Backgammon(TM) game.

Being as efficient as always, we have quickly gathered our considerable creative talent, and locked them all in a poorly-lit cellar until they come up with a suitable new name. Several hours later, our stellar team was done and a perfect new name for Backgammon(TM) was born - Long Sticks!

As a result, you will now find the game under this excellent new name, and I am sure that you will like it!
