Hello, friends!
There's entirely too much distressing health news from people, like me, who have health woes.
It's time to reverse that trend.
As many of you already know, I have been engaged in a battle against esophageal cancer since the end of 2010.
After 9 weeks of chemo-therapy, very major surgery, a postsurgical infection, another nine weeks of chemo, a necessary but premature retirement and, finally, a very slow recovery, I am absolutely delighted to announce that after my PET Scan in early March, I am cancer-free!
I am well on the road to recovery and feeling pert-darned positive about my prospects.
As I work out in the Y thrice a week, I have more stamina and I am better able to focus.
I am renewing my attentions to graphics design here on the site and am looking ahead to decide what I shall do with my life now that I am no longer a pressman at the NY Times.
I have my wife and my son to thank —both are players on the site, too— as well as the support I received from my friends at home and my friends here at GoldToken.
As such, I would like to invite you to a celebratory tourney that my new friend TexasToest has put together with my favorite multiplayer games.
I shall be playing in each of these, although (LOL), since I'm an average player, I'm not sure how long I'll last!
Time control will be 2 days with loss of game.
