Chameleon Hex, personal experiences

Apparently I'm the first person to write a nugget for Chameleon Hex in years!

Here's my experience for you.

I finally understood Chameleon Hex! It took me about 2 years (I rarely play this) and I read through the poor instructions at least 5 times. It says everything, but gives a lot of ambiguities for me.

In my opinion. We have to break away from the rules of almost all board games. Here the stones are not assigned to anyone. A single color would be enough to play.

The second color can be used for counterplay, but not necessarily. The stones always belong to both players.

I thought I would decide which color to play each turn. Wrong! This is indeed only the stone selection.

The goal is predetermined. As in Standard Hex. The black player needs some continuous color of stones, from left to right edge. The white player needs any continuous color of stones, from the top to the bottom edge. That's it.

I know I'm not the only one who finds the game confusing.
I hope to attract new players to this unusual game. I hope to bring a little bit of clarity to the rules of the game.

Thank you!
