It's June and School's Out. School's Out For the Summer or almost out! It's time for those family vacations, family reunions, neighborhood cookouts. We all know there's always that one family member that you try to avoid, for whatever reason. So while you're hiding out make sure you take the time to look over GoldToken's New Login Page. How totally cool is that ? Once again, great job to Chad and firefly. It's Awesome!
Also make sure you check out the new Checkers variants, Turkish, and Spanish Checkers: that flying king will make for some very interesting games. Armenian Checkers: where you have the ability to move one space forward, one space diagonally, or one space sideways. We have a new version of Thematic Chess. This game follows the standard rules of Chess with the first few moves already played at the start of the game, you choose the variant you'd like to see. Huge thanks to all the beta players who helped test these games for release and especially T-Rex, for his extensive testing for each and every possible checker move.
All you Gold and Platinum members should check out the Beta site http://beta.goldtoken.com/ regularly for any new games that need to be tested. There are a couple of new games to be tested now. You can play, but you can't tell. They're a surprise
Now would be a great time to upgrade your current membership to Gold or Platinum, you'll get that added bonus of being able to help test the new games, along with all the other extra features

I am pleased to announce that famous game creator MarkSteere has joined the GoldToken team! He has been designing (free) abstract games for 15 years, won the Mensa Select award for his first game, Quadrature, won the Parents' Choice a couple of times, and has been highly praised for his superior games in the noteworthy Games Magazine. Above all, it is thrilling to see Mark here, at the best internet gamesite online! We are looking forward to his games being released over the course of the next year on GoldToken. This last month we added Super Size No Division Tournaments for those who would enjoy larger than average matches. Instead of a match being divided up into groups of 25 according to rating, these will be especially good for players who do not care if they play someone higher or lower rated than themselves and hopefully will have 100 or more players in them. GoldToken has been an experience for me...I've just been here a few years but when I came here to GoldToken it was such a friendly and homey site that I let a paid up membership go in order to stay at GoldToken. I then purchased a silver membership but before very long, I needed a gold one. I wanted to find a club for which a gold membership was needed. One December 31st, instead of partying with others, I had my own party with my future co-presidents and started 7th Heaven. Later I turned it over to Nancy, and left the presidency. Since then I have been presidents of many other clubs, some of which I am in now.
I've directed site tournaments; and my favorite is running and making decisions for my Olympic club. Playing games has always been important to me for relaxation. When I first started making wikis pepperbeach helped me a lot and Jacob1987 gave me my first tourney director's job. From there I graduated so now I do most anything with tourneys. When my hubby died everyone rallied round me to help me thru it. A better family no one can have and this one is huge, how wonderful! Thank you everyone at GoldToken! Memories you have made for me!
