September has finally arrived and the kids are back in school, the occasional weekly summer guests have headed home and there is a little bit of order back in your day. Oh Happy Day...

Late August brought us Non Rated games, WebTV game improvements, and three new openings added to Thematic Chess along with some much needed database updates. If you have a special Thematic opening you would like to see added, please send me a note.
Great_news jingham and Tessa have both rejoined our management team!
Send them a warm 
back!jingham is our new Tournament Director and will handle private club matches too. Clubs may request no more than one club match a week, and these will be limited to a "as time allows" basis. Please don't swamp him with multiple requests or he will have to regretfully decline them. Team match requests will be taken on a first come first serve basis and can be submitted on weekends only.
I wish to extend a warm welcome to the GOAMA members signing up to GoldToken. If you are new to GoldToken and a member of GOAMA, please contact me for a free trial membership.

I want to thank everyone here at GT for all the love, support, understanding and words of comfort and all the hugs.
As most of you know I lost my love, my Glenn on Aug 13 from a heart attack. We were together for 14 yrs. My whole life changed that day, it came crashing down. I never knew how much a heart could really break till that day. At night when all were asleep I could come to GT and everyone here showed me so much love, the hugs, the prayers, the kind words, all helped me to get thru and are still helping me. (Since my life is changing more then I realized it would).
There are some very, very special people on here I would like to thank. Karen & June, for the daily calls to check on me and for there shoulders to cry on. Rebecca in NY for the kindness and the help she gave. For the Rebecca in England who would wait for me to come on so she could make sure I was ok before she went to bed. To Sondra for listening and all the calls. To Rebecca my daughter, who came to Ar. to spend time with me and help me threw that first week. To Irene for listening to me daily in our games and the comfort she showed with her prayers and words. To Angie who herself just suffered the loss of her father yet she reached out to me.
For all those that private messaged me with their kindness, their hugs and prayers. There are so many thanks I owe to so many on this site.
to everyone from the bottom of my heart, its broke into many pieces, but you're all helping to pick them up.

The Hoot's Tournament Club would like to welcome the new members that have joined us since we reopened our doors, and we would like to extend an open invitation to any players out there that like something a little different to come and join us.
The Hoot's Tournament Club offers sign ups in 1, 2 and 3 day move challenges. We play club-to-club challenges, multi game challenges and round robin inner club tourneys. Just come on over the membership is open for anyone.

I have been a part of GoldToken since February 2001 and will be here as long as I'm able to play games. This is the only game site I play on anymore. I did start on another site and met a few great friends there that I brought to GoldToken. This to me is the best place in the world to be. I have met the greatest people and lost a few over the years too.
I helped with the squirrels a long time ago and in a few other areas on this site and loved every minute of it, and will help out in the future anyway that Badger needs or asks me to help. It's so very little for all I gain, being here with my friends.
I remember when the site was very young and FujiTape who has gone on before his friend here was always looking for his blue car, which we kept locked away from him. You see, we wanted monopoly here and he wanted to be the car, I always wanted to be the iron, lol. Then there was Dave's socks, that no one wanted anything to do with and ema and I always had the ruby slippers to dance in, and PK had the toolbox and of course Grimsweeper was always floating around. You couldn’t ask for a better game site or dear friends that we have become over the last years.
My dearest friends in all the world are here REBEL DJ, hANDYman the Rebel , Abaitha and so many more! And I can't forget loboand FujiTape, who aren't here, but in our hearts and in spirit as they both loved this site. Thanks for allowing me to be a part of this site. Thanks to Badger, Chad and Taylor and the many others who have made this the best site online. Mary
