Back in my day, we had very little monetary things, but we were happy and loved everything we had, including the new toothbrush and socks that Santa put in our little socks every year. We ate at home every night and we all sat around the dining room table together, while "The Life of Riley" played on tv. All our meals were home made, many of them made with ingredients from the garden that my siblings and I weeded regularly! It was fun to pick a stalk of rhubarb or a fresh tomato for an afternoon snack in the summer, and on a really hot day, we chased the milk truck to get a piece of ice to munch on!!
The best part of those days are the happy memories that I have only touched on. Kids of today have so much more, yet they don't know what they're missing.
