I never followed his career but his stats are pretty impressive even for doing it all in Colorado. .316 career BA and .414 career OBP. Almost 600 doubles. Over 2500 hits. I see something where he said he tried PEDs. The voters are a pretty tough bunch. They must not equate him to the Sosa, McGwire, Bonds group.
But Beltre and Mauer were no-brainers.
I can't believe Andy Pettite is all the way down on the list. I think he belongs in the HOF. He was part of that Core Four. He was a longstanding pillar of that Yankees domination era from '96 to '09 except for a few years in Houston. His postseason record was really good. Okay, he didn't have the greatest ERA, but he was very consistent and solid. And look at the longevity.
