I had heard that there would be a solar eclipse yesterday afternoon, starting just after 2. So, at 2, I looked out the window and waited. As far as I know, the sky did not get any darker. This was a real disappointment.

I remember, however, a solar eclipse from about 48 years ago. At that time, I was a student in high school. During the eclipse, I spent a short time outside the school. It was dark and rather spooky. Later, I returned to school. In my opinion, that eclipse was more impressive than yesterday's.
