Olympic Oath

In the name of all the competitors I promise that I shall take part in these Olympic Games, playing in a timely manner, respecting and abiding by the rules which govern them, committing myself to these without the aid of any computer programs, software or electronic and mechanical devices of any kind in the true [ 2019 Summer Games Schedule with Links ] spirit of sportsmanship,for the glory of the games and the honor of my team.

HARMONIA was the goddess of harmony and concord. She was a daughter of Ares and Aphrodite and as such presided over both marital harmony, soothing strife and discord, and harmonious action of soldiers in war. Late Greek and Roman writers sometimes portrayed her as harmony in a more abstract sense--a deity who presided over cosmic balance.
