(#5579858) Re: Playing High Seas using 28mm wargaming miniatures

I am the creator of River Camelot, Badger was kind enough to add it to the game line up here on Goldtoken. It's a spinoff of Camelot, Michael Nolan, the founder of the World Camelot Federation added River Camelot on his website to the family of Camelot games back in 2011. I had the honor and pleasure of meeting him in person at a wargaming convention in Dearborn, Michigan in 2010. I hosted an all day Camelot tournament at that convention, Michael and I played three games, he won two of them and I managed to get a draw on the third game. Michael used to play here on Goldtoken as Mr. WWF prior to his death.

Another variant of Camelot that I thought of is 'Panzer Blitz', instead of knights and men-at-arms each player would have tanks and infantry and possibly artillery and aircraft. Actually a game similar to your High Seas game could be created using armor, infantry, artillery and aircraft. Now that's a thought!

I have completed 22 High Seas games here on Goldtoken so far and am still duking it out in 5 other games. One thing that I have noticed is that there are times when the cards you're dealt in a round leave you with no possible winning strategy. A possible 'house rule' I've considered is the winning player of a game is awarded x amount of gold coins, the loser is awarded fewer coins, those gold coins could be used to purchase the different fighting crews as they desire. I haven't thought it completely through yet, just an idea.

Something that I've noticed, there doesn't seem to be any activity here on the High Seas Discussion Board, do you have any idea as to why?
