What is the Icon Of The Day?
Each day, a new icon will be promoted there. If you would like to adopt it for your very own, ask for it on the Icon Mania DB.
GoldToken also offers a number of icons for our members. You can review them on the Name Icons info page. Once you have selected your favorite, run on over to the Icon Mania DB and let { Player: GoldToken's icon fairy know }, and she will see it is attached to your account name. Personal icons can only be adopted by one player at a time and once requested, must be kept for a minimum of 30 days.

March's winner is: Chocolate-Covered Mint Cheesecake

This recipe is a combination of some of my favorite things... girl scout cookies.. cheesecake... candy.. and liqueur... hehe
Chocolate-Covered Mint Cheesecake
CRUST:
1 row Thin Mints girl scout cookies (about 16), crushed
2 T. melted butter
FILLING:
3 pkgs. cream cheese (8oz. ea)
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
1/4 cup creme de menthe liqueur
15 Andes creme de menthe candies
TOPPING:
1/4 c. heavy cream
15 andes creme de menthe candies
1. mix crushed cookies with butter to moisten, press into bottom of 8" springform pan
2. cream together the cream cheese and sugar, stir in eggs and liqueur
3. spread half of the mixture on top of crust
4. arrange the candies into a layer on top of the filling
5. spread remaining half of the filling on top of the candies
6. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hr or until set and pulled from sides of pan
7. remove from springform pan and let cheesecake cool
8. in double boiler combine heavy cream and candies, cook over medium heat until completely melted
9. pour melted chocolates over the top of the cooled cheesecake
10. refrigerate until ready to serve
the cheesecake is elegant as is... when sliced you will see a layer effect from the candy... but you may garnish as desired.... a simple whipped cream dollop with mint leaf is nice or you could choose whipped cream with more andes candy... be creative
NOTE: you may substitute 1 t. peppermint extract and a drop of green food coloring for the liqueur... if you MUST...lol)

to Red Panda for letting us step into their personal life for a bit.1. What brought you to GoldToken?
How'd you choose your name for GT?
I joined because of trax, in order to get better before the email championship. My normal name was taken, probably by me 6 years ago, so I chose lemming as my initial name as that was a nickname of mine, but my favourite animal is red panda, and they are so cute.
2. What interests you most on GT?
I like the games.
3. Do you belong to any of the clubs? How about the chat only clubs (birds, kitties, garden)?
I am in a few clubs, both generic clubs such as friendship club, but more of the one game clubs such as senet, lines of action and xiphias. I run a few clubs , one for monthly multiplayer tournaments, and a paper football club. One of the most interesting clubs is { Club } , which is about a game which is not even on GoldToken
4. What State or Country do you reside in?
Do you live in the City or Country?
I am from Brisbane, Australia, but have lived in Indonesia for the last 16 years. I live in Jakarta which is a city of 22 million people
What in your State or Country do you think tourists should definitely see?
Indonesia has lots of great things, beaches (Bali, Lombok) , mountains, volcanoes, and amazing wildlife like Orangutan, and weird and wonderful diverse cultures.
5. What hobbies to you have?
lets see.. golf , billiards , watching movies (once a week), and writing. I am currently just finished a screenplay for a movie.. now I am trying to sell it
6. Children?
None
7. Do you work?
If so what kind of work do you do?
Yes, I work, as a computer security consultant. But project base, so sometimes lots of time, and sometimes no time. This is my semi retirement and consulting and training people is fun. I wrote and produced leading security awareness training material.
8. Any pets?
1 pure bred persian tortoise shell cat
of 12 years old. She won trophies when younger9. Are you under 30?___ 30 to 50? ___ or over 50?

10. What's the farthest you've been from home?
Was it a vacation or for business?
Well..that is a tricky question.. I have been on both work and vacation trips across many places.. Trekking the Himalaya's was definitely the highest point at 5700m, and also was 10 days away from home as i would have to walk out. Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe and Laos was pretty remote. Even Chicago is the other side of the world from both Brisbane and Jakarta.
In January I went to Seoul in Korea and it was -18C , which is very very different from the normal temperature of 32C in Jakarta.
11. If you could be anywhere right now where would that be?
interesting question. On my list of things to see are Cuzco Peru, Angkor Wat in Cambodia, but where would I want to be right now is probably Raja Ampat.
It is one of the locations in the movie I wrote but i have never been there and it sounds and looks really wonderful.

I've been a member since 2002 when my best friend at the time introduced me to GT. I'm so glad she did! I've probably been playing just about daily ever since. lol I've learned some new games and made some good friends along the way. I like the flexibility there is when it comes to how much you want to be involved in the site, like making your own club, etc, or just coming to play games - no strings attached. My favorites are backgammon and tourne-case, also Zero G FIAR and especially Lines of Action, although it seems not so popular around here. I don't understand why! I'm always up for an invite! Thanks for a great site!

If you enjoy a giggle The Daily Laugh Club is the place for you! A smile is guaranteed daily in their Comedy Store.
The Daily Laugh Club has started a new tourney each day for the past five months, and will soon know their token winners for November and December. They also run a monthly wikiless tourney and a range of special games trying out new formats. The Daily Laugh Club is relishing the Inter-Club wikiless challenges with five wins for their teams so far in 2013. There are some new ideas in store for Club Members in April!
