2.5 lb (1 kg) boneless beef chuck roast
2.5 lb (1 kg) potatoes
2.5 lb (1 kg) onions
1 lb (1/2 kg) carrots
4 stalks celery
3 toes garlic
1 T (15 ml) Worcestershire sauce
1 T (15 ml) (A-1 type) steak sauce
1/2 t (2.5 ml) Liquid Smoke
1 T (15 ml) dried parsley
1/2 T (7.5 ml) black pepper
1T (5 ml) sea salt
1/4 C (60 ml) water
Olive oil cooking spray
Spray crockery with cooking spray
Sprinkle 1/2t (2.5 ml) black pepper on the bottom of crockery
Add water
Add roast
Mix sauces & smoke and drizzle over roast
Add 1/2t (2.5 ml) salt and pepper to top of roast.
Clean, scrub and pare vegetables to uniform sizes
Add garlic toes, celery, carrots, & potatoes to crockery
Sprinkle with parsley
Add onions
Sprinkle with 1/2t (2.5 ml)pepper and salt
Cook on high for 2 hours
Reduce to medium and continue cooking for 5 more hours
This fits well in my 9 1/2 quart cooker. If yours is smaller you may want to adjust the recipe accordingly.

You see, I was FORCED to join GoldToken. Yep, it's true. It was in the last century. I didn't even have a computer. I had this thing called WebTV and that's how I found the internet and I discovered a place to play chess called It's Your Turn, we called it IYT. Some guy named Chad, I think, had this club called Chess 4 Fun and I joined it and played many games with many new friends for months and months.
Then, one day, Chad announced that C4F was leaving IYT and going to a new home, a new site that he himself had created. He called it GoldToken and said all were welcome to stay in C4F but to do so we all had to jump over and join GoldToken. I liked C4F and didn't want to leave but yeah, I was then FORCED to join the new site.
I think there was only chess at first. But it was a long time ago so maybe there was backgammon too!
So we've come a long way and I'm still a member of C4F and there's a lot of really nice people here; who knew that being FORCED to do something could turn out so well.

Acrostic Poem
February's Contest of the Month is something new! Write an Acrostic Poem - one where the first letter of each line spells out one of these words: GOLDTOKEN, TURNBASED, or VALENTINE. An Internet search for "Acrostic Poem" will give you some ideas. Post your entry on the Writing With Style discussion board no later than 11:59 PM, Pacific Time, on February 26, 2025. The winner will be chosen by poll and will receive 5 Golderos.

Remember: Platinum can save 9. Gold can save 7. Silver may wear 1 icon but has no save capabilities. ALL saved icons must be used within a year's time or they will be returned to circulation. When you change your icons on the Icon Mania board, be sure to mention if the icon you are wearing at that time needs to go into your saves or go back to circulation.
Always look out for the Icon Of The Day, too. There sure have been some awesome looking name icons posted lately.

Add 1/2t (2.5 ml) salt and pepper to top of roast.
Clean, scrub and pare vegetables to uniform sizes
Add garlic toes, celery, carrots, & potatoes to crockery
Sprinkle with parsley
Add onions
Sprinkle with 1/2t (2.5 ml)pepper and salt
Cook on high for 2 hours
Reduce to medium and continue cooking for 5 more hours
This fits well in my 9 1/2 quart cooker. If yours is smaller you may want to adjust the recipe accordingly.

- I am in 11 clubs, but none of the chat only clubs ( yet )

- I live in Thornton Colorado

- I live in the city, it isn't a really crowded city, but you can see the mountains from my home, they are about 10 mins. away
7. What in your state or country do you think tourists should definitely see?
- Everything should be seen here, it is all awesome, I am a Native and haven't seen it all yet.

I enjoy Hunting

You see, I was FORCED to join GoldToken. Yep, it's true. It was in the last century. I didn't even have a computer. I had this thing called WebTV and that's how I found the internet and I discovered a place to play chess called It's Your Turn, we called it IYT. Some guy named Chad, I think, had this club called Chess 4 Fun and I joined it and played many games with many new friends for months and months.
Then, one day, Chad announced that C4F was leaving IYT and going to a new home, a new site that he himself had created. He called it GoldToken and said all were welcome to stay in C4F but to do so we all had to jump over and join GoldToken. I liked C4F and didn't want to leave but yeah, I was then FORCED to join the new site.
I think there was only chess at first. But it was a long time ago so maybe there was backgammon too!
So we've come a long way and I'm still a member of C4F and there's a lot of really nice people here; who knew that being FORCED to do something could turn out so well.
