I've been thinking about starting my own club. Where do I begin?
Any player in good standing who has Gold or Platinum membership status can own a club! It's a good idea to check out some of the existing clubs and see what features you like and how different club owners utilize officers. There's a discussion board where you can post questions for other club owners and officers: Club Presidents. There are plenty of wiki resources on the Wiki Web, if you need to learn how to create and edit wikis and make links, accessible from the link at the bottom of your gamesheet, as well as an Info page devoted to Clubs and Federations. When you're ready to dive in, click on the "Clubs" link at the top of your gamesheet and then look for the "Interested in starting your own club?" link.

Ingredients
1 cut up chicken or breast pieces
1 envelope onion soup
1 small bottle of Catalina dressing
1 small jar of preserves like apricot, pineapple or whichever is your favorite
Directions
Put chicken in a 9x13 baking dish
Mix all Ingredients together and pour over the chicken. Bake at 325 degrees for approximately 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Enjoy!

I have a friend that lives in Florida and she asked me if I would like to try GoldToken. Of course I did and have enjoyed it so much. It's so nice to communicate with people from all over, made a friend in Ill. and her and her husband came to Florida and we all got together and that was fun. Made a friend in England and we chat on the game. It has been a very positive and enjoyable experience to belong to GoldToken.

The Sallyp and Friends Club has met their membership goal of 150 members! A full club and they are running some special prize tourneys to celebrate.
They still have a very active amount of wiki tourneys each month, they start 40 or 50 wiki tourneys some that only their club runs. Don't despair, they will start a waiting list if some other GT members wish to join the club. All you need to do is contact sallyp or johnnyyboy and they will send out the club invite as soon as there is an available spot.
The Daily Laugh Club reports that 24 tournies in their ongoing Games Challenge for 2017 have been completed. They had 15 different winners in 15 different games in the finished tourneys. A total of 34 different tournies are in progress now, all this in addition to their monthly wikiless tourney, inter-club challenges and special games.
They are certainly a busy club with something for everyone. Whilst they take their games playing seriously there is always time for a giggle.
The husband had just finished reading a new book entitled, “You Can Be The Man Of Your House.”
He stormed to his wife in the kitchen and announced, “From now on, you need to know that I am the man of this house and my word is law. You will prepare me a gourmet meal tonight, and when I’m finished eating my meal, you will serve me a sumptuous dessert. After dinner, you are going to go upstairs with me and we will have the kind of fun that I want. Afterwards, you are going to draw me a bath so I can relax. You will wash my back, towel me dry, and bring me my robe. Then, you will massage my feet and hands. Then tomorrow, guess who’s going to dress me and comb my hair?”
The wife replied, “The funeral director would be my first guess.”

The West of the Setting Sun Club announces with great fanfare and celebration that in May the 2016 Meijin Profile Token tournaments concluded. It was a very close race for 1st place with only 2 points separating 1st place and 2nd!
Those placing were:
First place with 23 points - tzorec
Second place with 21 points - PeeGee
Third place with 11 points - klaashaas
So tzorec receives the Meijin Profile token for 2016.
Owner tzorec says: "Well done to all the competitors for making this series of tournaments, our club and the games so exciting!"
The 2017 Meijin Profile Token tournaments are off to a great start with the first 19x19 Go tournament and the second 13x13 tournaments under way.
They also have their first Connect 6 tournament up and running as well.

The Chess & Variants Club members are busily playing lots of chess. There are a lot of variants and they want you to know that they play them all!!!!

The Prehistoric Poker Club is enjoying great success playing CAVEMAN which is 5 card draw and CROMAGNON HOLDUM which is Texas holdem. If you enjoy poker or even card games they have players that can assist you to learn this game or if you are already proficient come and play POKER with us.
POKER is a game of decisions. Doesn't matter what cards you get but what decisions you make when you get those cards. It is FUN!!!

The Overall Competition Club Has a new owner. This is a wikiless club only. 10 games will be played every month, different games, with points given for winners. Overall Winners at end of the year will receive golderoes prizes. Come join in on the fun! Message PattyMac for invite into the club.
The For the Love of Draughts Club has commenced a series of tournaments to determine their biennial club champion in each of the checker variants. Signup for the CHECKER variant club championship has commenced and they also have regular monthly tournaments proceeding with Armenian, Restriction, Russian and Spanish checkers featured in June's tournament in signup.
So if you enjoy a game of checkers and it's not difficult to start playing checkers contact T-Rex or Kookaburra and they will assist you in learning this great game and also help in joining the club.
The Astronomy Club members are preparing and getting ready for a major solar eclipse which will visit many parts of the world on August 21 2017 with over 2 minutes of totality. This will be a major astronomical event.
And to celebrate its arrival they will have a special tournament "The Astronomy Club Total Eclipse of the Sun Tournament" So get your seat in the club so you don't miss this fun tournament and a chance to share the eclipse with other members. Contact quietman or Kookaburra for more information.
The Lisa's Teddy Bear Picnic Club has a new Vice President, Candy Cane Kaz and they are inviting members to come meet her. "She says it’s a nice, relaxed club and she has a lot of fun, as well as learning new things". "One of them is creating more tournaments, both automated and wikiless". The Premier Cribbage Club has a new owner, PattyMac. This club will play Cribbage exclusively. Starting this month there will be a wikiless for cribbage and every month thereafter, in June of next year we will be announcing the Champion!. We’ve profiled many clubs here on Gold Token, but there’s one that’s truly different from all of the others. Owner RabidWolff of the Wolf Pack says The Side of the Milk Carton Club is the only club (that I'm aware of) that is a place for members to have one centralized place to search for information on missing players. There are links within the club to other areas on the site to help locate players. But the most used feature is just the discussion board where members post questions about a missing player, and if other players have information on them - they will post a reply.” The club was “created on May 5, 2013” and she explains how the name was chosen, “I'm showing my age here, but back when I was a kid and milk came in a paper milk carton the companies used to post pictures of missing children on the side of the milk cartons.”
The Side of the Milk Carton Club is one of the few which doesn’t play any games, but still “it is always growing in membership.” She sees firsthand the emotional connection GT members have for each other, “The most rewarding thing about this club, is when we can find an answer to why a player is missing instead of just never knowing what happened. These reasons can vary from just being on vacation, to a broken computer, to an illness, hospitalization and unfortunately, to someone passing away.”
The future of the club is “The same as now, just to try to have members helping other members…” Everyone is welcome, “The Side of the Milk Carton Club is open for anyone to join. Just remember there are no games played here, it is strictly just a place to possibly gather information on a missing player.” And many times, that is enough.

Ingredients
1 cut up chicken or breast pieces
1 envelope onion soup
1 small bottle of Catalina dressing
1 small jar of preserves like apricot, pineapple or whichever is your favorite
Directions
Put chicken in a 9x13 baking dish
Mix all Ingredients together and pour over the chicken. Bake at 325 degrees for approximately 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Enjoy!

The Sallyp and Friends Club has met their membership goal of 150 members! A full club and they are running some special prize tourneys to celebrate.
They still have a very active amount of wiki tourneys each month, they start 40 or 50 wiki tourneys some that only their club runs. Don't despair, they will start a waiting list if some other GT members wish to join the club. All you need to do is contact sallyp or johnnyyboy and they will send out the club invite as soon as there is an available spot.The Daily Laugh Club reports that 24 tournies in their ongoing Games Challenge for 2017 have been completed. They had 15 different winners in 15 different games in the finished tourneys. A total of 34 different tournies are in progress now, all this in addition to their monthly wikiless tourney, inter-club challenges and special games.
They are certainly a busy club with something for everyone. Whilst they take their games playing seriously there is always time for a giggle.
The husband had just finished reading a new book entitled, “You Can Be The Man Of Your House.”
He stormed to his wife in the kitchen and announced, “From now on, you need to know that I am the man of this house and my word is law. You will prepare me a gourmet meal tonight, and when I’m finished eating my meal, you will serve me a sumptuous dessert. After dinner, you are going to go upstairs with me and we will have the kind of fun that I want. Afterwards, you are going to draw me a bath so I can relax. You will wash my back, towel me dry, and bring me my robe. Then, you will massage my feet and hands. Then tomorrow, guess who’s going to dress me and comb my hair?”
The wife replied, “The funeral director would be my first guess.”

The West of the Setting Sun Club announces with great fanfare and celebration that in May the 2016 Meijin Profile Token tournaments concluded. It was a very close race for 1st place with only 2 points separating 1st place and 2nd!
Those placing were:
First place with 23 points - tzorec
Second place with 21 points - PeeGee
Third place with 11 points - klaashaas
So tzorec receives the Meijin Profile token for 2016.

The For the Love of Draughts Club has commenced a series of tournaments to determine their biennial club champion in each of the checker variants. Signup for the CHECKER variant club championship has commenced and they also have regular monthly tournaments proceeding with Armenian, Restriction, Russian and Spanish checkers featured in June's tournament in signup.
So if you enjoy a game of checkers and it's not difficult to start playing checkers contact T-Rex or Kookaburra and they will assist you in learning this great game and also help in joining the club.
The Astronomy Club members are preparing and getting ready for a major solar eclipse which will visit many parts of the world on August 21 2017 with over 2 minutes of totality. This will be a major astronomical event.
And to celebrate its arrival they will have a special tournament "The Astronomy Club Total Eclipse of the Sun Tournament" So get your seat in the club so you don't miss this fun tournament and a chance to share the eclipse with other members. Contact quietman or Kookaburra for more information.

We’ve profiled many clubs here on Gold Token, but there’s one that’s truly different from all of the others. Owner RabidWolff of the Wolf Pack says The Side of the Milk Carton Club is the only club (that I'm aware of) that is a place for members to have one centralized place to search for information on missing players. There are links within the club to other areas on the site to help locate players. But the most used feature is just the discussion board where members post questions about a missing player, and if other players have information on them - they will post a reply.” The club was “created on May 5, 2013” and she explains how the name was chosen, “I'm showing my age here, but back when I was a kid and milk came in a paper milk carton the companies used to post pictures of missing children on the side of the milk cartons.”
The Side of the Milk Carton Club is one of the few which doesn’t play any games, but still “it is always growing in membership.” She sees firsthand the emotional connection GT members have for each other, “The most rewarding thing about this club, is when we can find an answer to why a player is missing instead of just never knowing what happened. These reasons can vary from just being on vacation, to a broken computer, to an illness, hospitalization and unfortunately, to someone passing away.”
The future of the club is “The same as now, just to try to have members helping other members…” Everyone is welcome, “The Side of the Milk Carton Club is open for anyone to join. Just remember there are no games played here, it is strictly just a place to possibly gather information on a missing player.” And many times, that is enough.
