Much of February was spent pouring over our code to speed up your pages and debugging site problems. We don't have all the issues worked out, but are confident that we are on the right track and thank you for your continued patience in this matter.

What are Banneros?
Banneros are special virtual GoldToken coins that are only available as prizes in various contests and tournaments, or as gifts from GoldToken administrators.
Banneros work like Golderos when purchasing banner space, but the only way to obtain them is to have administration give you some (you can't buy, share or trade them to other players), and they can only be used to purchase Banners, nothing else ( Each Golderos or Banneros = 50 cents US each).
If a player wants to extend a banner while not having enough Banneros, Golderos will be used to fill the missing amount. So if someone needs 12 Golderos or Banneros to extend their Banners, and has 5 Banneros and 15 Golderos, it will cost them 5 Banneros and 7 Golderos. If the player has no Banneros , only Golderos will be used.
Banners are a wonderful way to promote your GoldToken club, federation, site contest or a special tournament to other GoldToken players. And yes, as long as it is family friendly, you can advertise your business using a GoldToken banner too! Start your own banner today!

March's game of the month is CrossDowns! Join us in a fun Double Elimination Tournament by signing up today for The March 2012 - Game of the Month - CrossDowns! Tournament!
CrossDowns is similar to Grabble in many ways. The critical difference is that CrossDowns uses more flexible and elevated criteria for allowable words in it's dictionaries than allowed in Grabble.
Another major difference is in the Large Variant available in CrossDowns, CrossDowns Race, CrossDowns Stacker, Stacking CrossDowns. The board is 21 x 21 boxes square instead of 15 x 15. There are opportunities as you play towards the outer board to score higher with 5x letter (5 diamonds) and 5x word (bullseye) multipliers. There are several areas where, if things work just right, players can score 2 Quad words on one play. There are also twice as many tiles in the bag.
There is also a variant which is a 5x5 Square CrossDowns. It is similar to the 4x4, but allows the player to use 2,3,4, and 5 letter words, sort of a mini Stacking CrossDowns.
Additionally, there is a feature that allows players to swap tiles for blanks enabling players to add blanks to their hands. Doing so takes up a turn but it adds to the strategy.
As in Grabble, the object is to score the highest. This can be best accomplished by using the letter and word multipliers wisely, trying to place higher value letters and letter combinations on them while not giving your opponent too many opportunities to do the same.
It's a good idea, when possible, to try to avoid setting up your opponent to use those squares, but sometimes it can be to your advantage to do just that, especially in the outer corners of the Large variants.

1 LB pork sausage cooked and drained
1 large bag diced hash browns
1 large bell pepper, diced
1 large onion, diced
6 to 8 eggs
6 T milk
In large skillet, brown sausage, drain and crumble. Add diced onion, bell pepper and cook till crisp tender. add diced hash browns, brown lightly. Puah all to one side and add eggs with milk, scramble and stir all together. Makes a hardy anytime meal and re-heats well.

I live in the city, it isn't a really crowded city, but you can see the mountains from my home, they are about 10 mins. away

Everything should be seen here, it is all awesome, I am a Native and haven't seen it all yet.

I joined the site on June 1, 2000. I remember when Chad owned it and his brother Taylor helped him. At times the discussion boards could get controversial to say the least about what was appropriate and what wasn't appropriate. People used to get very angry on these boards, including myself, with other members but since that time things have gotten a lot better and quieted down. When I first joined GT you didn't pay to be on it but then they felt it was necessary and I took the chance and joined with my husband, Dbleedee of the Misfits. I originally came to this site through a friend, Rude Misfit. Him and his brother found the site and got me hooked. I love it and have played ever since and when clubs came to be I made the Misfits of Goldtoken Club. I have made lots of friends on this site, a few who have become good friends of mine off the site too and I have met in person. My favorite games always change on this site but at this time the fav for me is American Rummikub and regular Rummikub.

Enter GoldToken's Club Banner Contest! The winning banner will be given one full year to run! All entries will rotate with the other banners on top of player game sheets for 30 days from the day they are added to the system. The entry deadline is March 29th.
