February may have been short, but there were plenty of site updates to keep everyone busy! Here's a recap:

• New Gammon Boards!

to our very own graphically talented marcmandy, our gammon games have received five (5!) new background schemes that you can now pick from! Additionally, you can now pick a different color scheme for each of the Backgammon variants, allowing you to easily distinguish which variant you are playing. Be sure to send marcmandy a well deserved !

• New Film Strip Dividers!

I am pleased to announce new Film Divider Goldies with a big to Jools creative genius! They are easy to use and available for everyone! You will find the full list listed in our Goldies pages! Send Jools a note of appreciation so he knows we want him to keep designing!

Pieces of timeouted players are now ignored when determining moves and jumps, meaning they will no longer block you from moving around.

• Photo Album Updates

All players now have more sorting and viewing options to better organize your photo albums, plus individual photos have added voting. We hope you enjoy all the new album tools!

• New "TV Hero" Inspired Goldies

and and other game like exclamations were common action words noted in this old TV series. If you can guess where they originated, and come up with the most new Goldies using these famous catch phrases in a single post on the General Chat, you will win 10 Golderos!

Site tips and helpful tools

I believe someone is cheating. What do I do?

As well noted by one of our players:

I fail to see what the benefit of a high rating would be to anyone who goes to such great lengths to cheat. In my book anyone who could find real value in a bogus high rating has much deeper and more disturbing personal issues to deal with than their "status" in our rather small niche of the Internet. Such pathetic and meaningless attempts at self-validation are indicative of very weak character, a mind that is limited to the deviousness necessary to play well but blind to the beauty of the game, and an exceptionally low-class soul. --chessnut64

GoldToken takes cheating very seriously. Very loosely, we will say that cheating involves dishonestly representing your ability in a game. To be honest, we don't have enough time to examine every move in every game on this site. Much of the gaming here is done on the honor system. So if you feel compelled to stoop to cheating in order to give others a false sense of what a bright and wonderful individual you are, chances are that you may not get caught. However, if your cheating ends up being successful enough to place you near the top of one of the best players lists, your games may suddenly come under more intense scrutiny. It is easy to determine if you play daily with the exception of your tournament, ladder or club games, even delaying such games while taking on new ones. All the more reason not to do it.

In other words, ineffective cheating is unlikely to be caught, but then, if it is ineffective, why bother? Effective cheating is more likely to be caught, resulting in your rating being dropped, banned from playing tournaments, your membership forfeited or your account being summarily dismissed from this site. Again, why bother, but if you want to take the risk, consider yourself warned.

On the other hand, we believe it is most unfair for a disgruntled player to run around making claims of such of anyone. So GoldToken has a team that you can contact regarding suspected cheating, by messaging GoldToken Support. Once a report is made, please don't harass the player in question or the team regarding the outcome, other than to submit a new report. We will closely look into all claims and carefully consider the evidence, taking any necessary action if cheating is found, but we won't be explaining any details to you regarding the outcome due to GoldToken's Privacy Policy.

Best Recipe Contest

February's winner is: Valentine Kiss Brownies

Ingredients

1 package fudge brownie mix 
bag of striped or plain chocolate kisses
cool whip

Directions

prepare brownie mix according to package directions for fudge like brownies 
fill miniature muffin cups two thirds full
bake at 350 for 18 minutes OR until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean 
immediately top each with a chocolate kiss 
cool for about 10 to 15 minutes OR until cooled completely 
then put small ring of cool whip around the chocolate kiss 

remove and eat .. YummmY!

We would like to say to Cheetah for letting us step into their personal life for a bit.

1. What brought you to GoldToken?

My Friend Peggy of 32 Years introduced me to GoldToken and I can not thank her enough for that. Without her I would not be here.

2. What interests you most on GT?
-Your all time favorite game here?

I enjoy most games. My favorite of course is Whist.

3. Do you belong to any of the clubs?

Since I first arrived at GT I have joined many Clubs. I enjoy all of them.

4. What State or Country do you reside in?

I live in The Sunshine State, Florida.

5. What hobbies to you have?

I enjoy gardening and crochet. Of course GT has become my biggest Hobby.

6. Children?

I never had Children. My Children are my furry Kids.

7. Do you work?

I worked for 42 Years and try to take it easy now.

8. Any pets?

I have 2 Cats and 2 small Dogs which are a great Joy.

9. Are you under 30?___ 30 to 50? ___ or over 50?

When I am asked my Age, my Answer always remains the same......forever in Blue Jeans.

10. What's the farthest you've been from home?
Was it a vacation or for business?

The farthest away from home was Costa Rica and Honduras. Business and Pleasure Trip.

11. If you could be anywhere right now where would that be?

There is no other Place I would rather be then my Home and Mother Nature that surrounds me.

I have 2 favorite Seasons, Spring and Fall.
