November is here and Halloween is finally over! It seems as though some of the Ghosts and ghouls found its way into GoldToken's database and had a bit of a party when we weren't looking! While we experienced very slow page loads, wiki edits and some other issues on the site, we are happy to say that things should be running at good speed fairly soon again. Chad has been working diligently at fixing all problems relating to this and hopes to have success as soon as possible with it!
This month, my Management staff and I are very pleased to welcome our newest players joining from the New Zealand Draughts Association! We hope everyone enjoys what our site has to offer and its amazing group of GoldToken family members! Be sure to send them a hearty welcome!
The New Zealand Draughts Association was the first to enjoy GoldToken's new Federation Club feature with the { Club } followed by the American Checker Federation's The ACF Club. If you are a member or are interested in joining either of these game federations, please contact them for more information.

1. "Lost in Love", their debut, was a major success in the U.S., selling over two million copies and spawning the hit singles "Lost in Love," "All Out of Love," and "Every Woman in the World."
2. Their hit "Leaving on a Jet Plane" was actually written by the then unknown John Denver.
3. Her career received a huge boost when rock legend Roy Orbison chose her to record a duet of his standard, "Crying".
4. Her 1977 single titled "Right Time of the Night" brought her wide acclaim with the song going to #1 on Billboard's Adult Contemporary Singles chart.
5. His first hit as a solo performer was "Spanish Harlem" (1961).

For those of us GoldToken players who host a weblog or 'blog' in our beyond-gaming life, November is the National Blog Post Month. It is a take on the November National Novel Writing Month, except it's for people (sometimes known as posties or more commonly known as bloggers) who use weblogs to channel their writings, share stories and photos, participate in memes or use our blogs as soapboxes to the world. There is a website for bloggers who want to participate. It's not too late to join! The month is young!
All you have to do is post to your blog at least once per day-every day for the month of November. That's it! Most bloggers do that anyway! For those who participate, you can win prizes as an incentive to keep going and meet the challenge each day.
I can appreciate the work going into being a faithful participant so I've decided to offer my own prize to a random participant of the challenge. You know, 20 years ago the internet was something I was sure would be for the next generation...not for me! Well, I was wrong, just like a lot of other men and women my age. The internet has changed all of our lives. We have all met people we never even thought we would ever meet but, if you ever want to meet a great bunch of people, you have to be right here at GoldToken.
I've been playing here for over 6 years now thanks to my old friend Roy, nisqually who knew I loved playing games and he said GoldToken was the place to go. He was right. I've had the great privilege of making a lot of great friends in GoldToken and people like Chad and Badger have made it possible for all of us.
So many great games to play and great friends to play with; it's all here in GoldToken!! You can find me here everyday, 7 days a week, unless I have internet problems and we've all had that...lol.

I have been playing at GoldToken since 12/01. I was told about this site by Cinnamon so I figured I would try it out. I liked it so I told my baby sis DiGaWiD about it and we both became paying members.
I have enjoyed all of the games, but what has really impressed me was the way everyone sent out their prayers for our Mom when she was sick and even sent us a wonderful card that everyone signed. Also all the prayers for DiGaWiD and her new baby when they were most needed. It's really great to know that you have friends even though you have never met in person, they are our on line friends.
This is a really good site for kids also, of all the sites on line this is one of few that I would trust my young niece to play at as she grows up. I just want to say thanks everyone and hope to see you all on line.
