October 5th marks GoldToken's Unofficial 22nd anniversary! GoldToken has come a long way since that first day! We've added numerous games, special tournaments, a wide variety of clubs, discussion boards, contests with tokens and prizes and many other features too numerous to mention.
You, our players, have made GoldToken what it is today with your membership and support and we would like you to celebrate with us! As we celebrate the day, be sure to look around GoldToken's various discussion boards for opportunities to collect some 22nd Anniversary Tokens!
22 different copper tokens have been created for the winners of these contests. Each winner will receive one token, designating how many years they've been a member of GoldToken. Any member who receives one of these tokens will be entered in a Four in a Row tournament with the winner of this tournament to receive a six-month extension to whatever membership they currently have.
I want to add a special, heartfelt thank you to all who make this anniversary celebration possible with all of your hard work! GoldToken has been extremely fortunate that some truly remarkable people devote their time and effort to making and keeping GoldToken special.

I enjoy the camaraderie with my fellow volunteers, and it amazes me how much time and energy they put into GoldToken. October's game of the month is MUGGINS! Join us in a fun League Style Tournament by signing your club up today. Your rooster can be from 1 to 5 members from your club. Submit the list to PattyMac or post in The Site Wide Club vs Club Tournament Club. WIN Profile Tokens for your club only! Hope to see your club there!
September's winner is: Pumpkin Bundt Cake
Ingredients:
2 packages of orange or spice cake mix, prepared according to the directions.
2 bundt pans
2 containers of vanilla icing
Orange food coloring
assorted bag of green and orange candies
Method:
Pam both bunt pans and set aside.
Prepare cake mixes according to package directions.
Pour each cake mixes into each bunt pan.
bake according to package directions
Allow bunt cakes to cool for 15 minutes and then put on racks to cool completely.
When both bunt cakes are totally cooled then place one on a serving dish or cake dish, slice the rounded part of both of the bunt cakes. Remove icing from containers and add the orange food coloring so it is evenly colored. Ice the top of the bunt cake with the icing and then place the second bunt cake on top of it then Ice the both bunt cakes. After all is iced evenly, than fill the "hole" of the bunt cake with the candies and making sure to have it high and make it look like the stem.
I will chill it for about 30 minutes before serving or taking it to a Halloween party.
Slice and ENJOY!!!

I have loved playing board games all my life, then new age and technology has brought me to online gaming years back. I had played other game sites and enjoyed playing because of the people I got to talk to. On another game site about 22 years ago, I actually met One very Special man, Gary Paul, who we quickly grew to a solid friendship and he became my Best Friend. He is the One who introduced me to other game sites and then to GT. GT became my favorite game site of all. I have met and gotten to play with many nice people on GT and through the Discussion Boards which I love. I have been in a few clubs including 80's Breakfast Club, Monkeytyper's Gaming Paradise, The Wolf Pack, The Cook Book Club, 2020 Winter Olympics, and others maybe more later. I love my games, but I love reading all through the comments on the boards. Many on here have wonderful personalities and I can always count on some chuckles and laughs. In fact, it really is like a FAMILY here, honestly is how I feel. Connection to here. I am so thankful my Best Friend told me about here. It really stimulates my Mind and honestly my Heart and Soul. At Christmas, it was Special getting neat little Blessings here that warmed my Children and I. I also have been Blessed by an Anonymous person who paid a Silver Membership for me. I Thanked and Pray Blessings on whoever did that. As a Proud Mom, I Love that it is Family Friendly too. I Love the Ideas of here, the People, Owners, Presidents, Volunteers...wow!! Everyone here seems to work together well and give so much of their time to keep this site going. You all are doing fabulous commitments!!! Best New Game Design
October's contest is for the best New Game Design submitted throughout the month. You can include your own graphics, opt to use graphics already available on GoldToken, or if chosen as the winning entry, possibly have your graphics designed by our professional graphic artists. All entries will be reviewed for playability, and judged by GoldToken's Graphic Arts team. The winning game will be announced in November's newsletter. Winner will receive two extra months on their current membership, or, if Guest, a two-month Silver membership.
There are a number of steps involved in creating a new board game. Start with variations of games that you love, that you loved as a child etc. Work out what makes these games fun, what’s wrong with these games, what could be better. Look at all different kinds of games from many different genres. This is the most fun part of game design. We hope you enjoy planning your entry!
Entries must be entirely new games or variants not seen anywhere else, and must be submitted to GoldToken's Newshound no later than October 27, 2021.

September's winner is: Pumpkin Bundt Cake
- Submitted by GinnyB
Ingredients:
2 packages of orange or spice cake mix, prepared according to the directions.
2 bundt pans
2 containers of vanilla icing
Orange food coloring
assorted bag of green and orange candies
Method:
Pam both bunt pans and set aside.
Prepare cake mixes according to package directions.
Pour each cake mixes into each bunt pan.
bake according to package directions
Allow bunt cakes to cool for 15 minutes and then put on racks to cool completely.
When both bunt cakes are totally cooled then place one on a serving dish or cake dish, slice the rounded part of both of the bunt cakes. Remove icing from containers and add the orange food coloring so it is evenly colored. Ice the top of the bunt cake with the icing and then place the second bunt cake on top of it then Ice the both bunt cakes. After all is iced evenly, than fill the "hole" of the bunt cake with the candies and making sure to have it high and make it look like the stem.
I will chill it for about 30 minutes before serving or taking it to a Halloween party.

I had played other game sites and enjoyed playing because of the people I got to talk to. On another game site about 22 years ago, I actually met One very Special man, Gary Paul, who we quickly grew to a solid friendship and he became my Best Friend. He is the One who introduced me to other game sites and then to GT. GT became my favorite game site of all. I have met and gotten to play with many nice people on GT and through the Discussion Boards which I love. I have been in a few clubs including 80's Breakfast Club, Monkeytyper's Gaming Paradise, The Wolf Pack, The Cook Book Club, 2020 Winter Olympics, and others maybe more later. I love my games, but I love reading all through the comments on the boards. Many on here have wonderful personalities and I can always count on some chuckles and laughs. In fact, it really is like a FAMILY here, honestly is how I feel. Connection to here. I am so thankful my Best Friend told me about here. It really stimulates my Mind and honestly my Heart and Soul. At Christmas, it was Special getting neat little Blessings here that warmed my Children and I. I also have been Blessed by an Anonymous person who paid a Silver Membership for me. I Thanked and Pray Blessings on whoever did that. As a Proud Mom, I Love that it is Family Friendly too. I Love the Ideas of here, the People, Owners, Presidents, Volunteers...wow!! Best New Game Design
October's contest is for the best New Game Design submitted throughout the month. You can include your own graphics, opt to use graphics already available on GoldToken, or if chosen as the winning entry, possibly have your graphics designed by our professional graphic artists. All entries will be reviewed for playability, and judged by GoldToken's Graphic Arts team. The winning game will be announced in November's newsletter. Winner will receive two extra months on their current membership, or, if Guest, a two-month Silver membership.
There are a number of steps involved in creating a new board game. Start with variations of games that you love, that you loved as a child etc. Work out what makes these games fun, what’s wrong with these games, what could be better. Look at all different kinds of games from many different genres. This is the most fun part of game design. We hope you enjoy planning your entry!
Entries must be entirely new games or variants not seen anywhere else, and must be submitted to GoldToken's Newshound no later than October 27, 2021.
