Hot Fudge Cake
1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup sugar
6 tbsp baking cocoa, divided
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp packed brown sugar
1 3/4 cups hot water
In a medium bowl, combine flour, sugar, 2 tbsp cocoa, baking powder and salt. Stir in the milk, oil and vanilla until smooth. Spread in an ungreased 9-in square pan. Combine brown sugar and remaining cocoa, sprinkle over batter. Pour hot water over all - do not stir. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Let sit a little to cool, but serve warm. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.

We've had fewer, but longer, contests for August with Fairy Tale stories, Caption This, a scavenger hunt and a new slogan for KFC being the main focus for August. The Keep it Hummin' scavenger hunt involved players searching
for a hummingbird token on a player's profile, with clues given throughout the month. Some found it by searching profiles and others found it by certain clues given at random times. The winners for this token (unknown photo) in the order that they found it are:

Wow, What an honor! Thank you. I really enjoy playing my games here. I joined GT because my wife, Loondog and her 3 sisters, Marylou, Baxter10 and gilbertei play here. I needed to find out what they were saying about me.
I picked my name because I have always been a huge Grateful Dead fan. I am very new to many of these games, but my favorite is Thematic Hangman. Every time my wife tries to teach me a new game, and I don't get it, she yells at me.
I live in Florida, USA but our hearts are still in Pennsylvania and we are trying to get back home. We have great beaches and of course The Mouse House!!!!
I have always been interested in trains and I love history, especially WW2 movies and books. Baseball is another interest of mine.
I have a son and daughter and 5 grandchildren. I am retired now, but worked as a surety claims supervisor for a major insurance company.
I am a male and over 50.
We love to travel, mostly cruising, and last year were in Norway. We loved the fjords.
Since I am currently in a rehab center for a broken hip, I would love to be anywhere but here.
I really enjoy Jeopardy and can answer one or two questions almost every show. I have too many favorite movies to list, but mostly WW2 films.
If I had the chance, I would love to meet and spend time with Winston Churchill.
I found GoldToken through my family and thoroughly enjoy spending time here. I've been a member for over 3 years. I have met the nicest people. Everyone has been very welcoming.

- When dropping dough from a spoon into a pan, wet the spoon in milk and the dough will not stick to the spoon.
- Loosen a rusted bolt by applying a cloth soaked in a carbonated soda to the rusted bolt for several minutes.
- Who knew that little bottle of hand sanitizer could be so useful other than the ever present COVID-19? The secret ingredient is the rubbing alcohol which lowers the freezing point of water and melts the ice inside the lock almost instantly. Apply a couple of drops of the hand sanitizer on your key and gently push the key into the lock. Try to turn or wiggle the key a little at a time to distribute the alcohol inside the lock.

Hot Fudge Cake
1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup sugar
6 tbsp baking cocoa, divided
2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp packed brown sugar
1 3/4 cups hot water
In a medium bowl, combine flour, sugar, 2 tbsp cocoa, baking powder and salt. Stir in the milk, oil and vanilla until smooth. Spread in an ungreased 9-in square pan. Combine brown sugar and remaining cocoa, sprinkle over batter. Pour hot water over all - do not stir. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Let sit a little to cool, but serve warm. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.

We've had fewer, but longer, contests for August with Fairy Tale stories, Caption This, a scavenger hunt and a new slogan for KFC being the main focus for August. The Keep it Hummin' scavenger hunt involved players searching

- PattyMac invited me to play here. I am an avid NASCAR fan
and I was born and grew up in Kentucky
2. What interests you most on GT? Do you have a favorite game?
- I like a variety of games, but my favorite are some of the thematic hangman games.
3. What state or country do you reside in? What do you think tourists should definitely see?
- I live in Tennessee. The whole state is beautiful! There is a wide variety of things to see
and do in the state.
4. What hobbies do you have?
- My main hobby is playing games on my computer. I also like to read.
5. Children? Grandchildren?
- I have 2 children. My daughter,
grandson,
and great granddaughter 
live in Ohio. My son 
lives nearby.
6. Do you work? What kind of work do/did you do?
- I am retired. I used to be a healthcare worker.
I worked in nursing homes, in my patients' homes, and private duty in my clients' homes.
7. Any pets?
- I don't have any pets now, but I have had a couple of good dogs
in the past. I had Patches, who was part Akita, and Major who was a short legged hound.
8. Are you under 30?___ 30 to 50? ___ or over 50?
- I am WAY over 50! I am 73.
9. What's the farthest you've been from home?
- I have been to San Francisco once.
10. If you could be anywhere right now, where would that be?
- I would like to be in my hometown. I miss my friends.
11. Favorite season?
- I like the fall best of all. The trees
are beautiful and the weather is cooler.
12. Favorite movie? Favorite TV show?
- I don't have a favorite, but I do like the Hallmark Movies. I like shows that are lighthearted and mysteries.
13. If you could meet anyone (living or dead) in the world, who would it be?
- I would like to meet some of my family from the past and learn more about the way they lived.

Wow, What an honor! Thank you. I really enjoy playing my games here. I joined GT because my wife, Loondog and her 3 sisters, Marylou, Baxter10 and gilbertei play here. I needed to find out what they were saying about me.
I picked my name because I have always been a huge Grateful Dead fan. I am very new to many of these games, but my favorite is Thematic Hangman. Every time my wife tries to teach me a new game, and I don't get it, she yells at me.
I live in Florida, USA but our hearts are still in Pennsylvania and we are trying to get back home. We have great beaches and of course The Mouse House!!!!
I have always been interested in trains and I love history, especially WW2 movies and books. Baseball is another interest of mine.
I have a son and daughter and 5 grandchildren. I am retired now, but worked as a surety claims supervisor for a major insurance company.
I am a male and over 50.
We love to travel, mostly cruising, and last year were in Norway. We loved the fjords.
Since I am currently in a rehab center for a broken hip, I would love to be anywhere but here.
I really enjoy Jeopardy and can answer one or two questions almost every show. I have too many favorite movies to list, but mostly WW2 films.
If I had the chance, I would love to meet and spend time with Winston Churchill.
I found GoldToken through my family and thoroughly enjoy spending time here. I've been a member for over 3 years. I have met the nicest people. Everyone has been very welcoming.
