I'm on the 3rd rung of a particular ladder and my next game hasn't started yet. What's wrong?
This is a common question! Our ladder coding prevents players from being matched in consecutive games with each other. If you are on a rung with another player and your game hasn't automatically started, one of you played your most recent ladder game against the other - even if the other played someone else in between games. As soon as someone else moves up or down to your rung, a new game will start.

May's game of the month is Treble Trouble Four in a Row! Join us in a fun Double Elimination Tournament by signing up today for The May 2019 - Game of the Month - Treble Trouble 4IAR Tournament!
In this variant of Four in a Row, one square is randomly selected as the hotspot, which either player may use as one of his or her own pieces when counting four in a row. Another square is randomly selected as the blackhole, which does not count toward four in a row for either player. Additionally, one edge square is randomly selected as a wormhole, which either player may use in their line of four in a row. Note that unlike a hotspot, the wormhole does NOT count as one of the four. The wormhole has the effect of "wrapping" the board, so that lines of four may go from one side of the board to the other as long as the line crosses through the wormhole as it passes from one side to the other (the change of edge color is intended to help visualize this). No pieces may be played in the squares designated as the hotspot, blackhole or wormhole squares.
We hope you enjoy it!
May's game of the month is LARGE Dice Pipes! Join us in a fun League Style Tournament by signing your club up today. Club Owners, if you or your officer are not members of The Site Wide Club vs Club Tournament Club, please contact PattyMac. If you have a team (5 or fewer players) to represent your club, send me your team roster and I will get it added to the tourney. This one will start on 5/20/2019.
April's winner is: Breakfast Fried Rice
Cold leftover cooked rice makes for the best fried rice, so make an extra batch of your favorite white or brown rice at home and stash it in the refrigerator in preparation for this dish. This quick-cooking dish serves 4 and features softly scrambled eggs, sautéed breakfast sausage and sweet onion. Everything is tossed together with some soy sauce for flavor and frozen peas for color, and finished with melted cheddar cheese and a sprinkle of fresh parsley.
INGREDIENTS
◦2 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
◦3 large eggs, lightly beaten
◦12 ounces uncooked breakfast sausage (try ‘Jones All Natural Pork Breakfast Sausage Roll’ 12 oz pkg)
◦1 medium sweet onion (Vidalia or Spanish), diced
◦5 cups cooked rice, cold
◦3 tablespoons soy sauce (or more to taste)
◦1 teaspoon kosher salt
◦Freshly ground black pepper
◦1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
◦1/2 cup frozen peas
◦1 tablespoon coarsely chopped fresh parsley leaves
INSTRUCTIONS
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large nonstick frying pan over medium-high heat until shimmering.
Add the eggs and gently scramble with a rubber spatula until just softly set, 1 to 2 minutes.
Transfer to a bowl or plate and set aside.
Add the remaining 1 tablespoon oil, sausage, and onion to the pan and cook, breaking up the meat with a wooden spoon into small pieces, until the sausage is cooked through and the onion is tender, about 5 minutes.
Add the rice and stir-fry until heated through, about 3 minutes. Use your spatula to flatten out and break up any clumps.
Add the soy sauce and salt, season with pepper, and cook for 1 minute more.
Add the scrambled eggs, cheese, and peas to the pan and gently fold to combine until the cheese is melted.
Taste and season with salt or soy sauce as needed. Sprinkle with the parsley and serve.

Joining a club is a fantastic way for GT players to play and be part of a club structure and to meet friends in various games.
As an active President of a good few of GT's clubs, here is what you get for your membership.
Wiki tourneys: For those not familiar with these, are usually small tourneys set up and run by officers.
I set up and run well over 200 of these in various clubs most years.
Small Knockouts, Race type tourneys, Double/Triple Eliminations, Best of Threes and many more types of tourneys are available.
Club membership can lead to owning a club or being an officer of a club.
GT players have to have some type of Membership ie. Silver, Gold or Platinum level.
If GoldToken players want to know more about clubs and how they run contact any club owner on the Club Members & Matches discussion board or contact me for more information: johnnyyboy.
So, checking out and involving yourself in these clubs is fun.

In other club news, friends of TerryS want to thank him for running his tournaments and for his very generous gifts to the winners.
Competitions are published when gold, silver & bronze winners have been determined

We would like to say to Jupiter2 for letting us step into their personal life for a bit.
1. What brought you to GoldToken, and how'd you choose your name for GT?
- A friend suggested the site. Jupiter2 was the spaceship on the old TV show in the 60's, "Lost in Space". I chose it mostly because it's gender neutral. I'm a tad shy on the internet when I first 'meet' people. Plus I loved that show and that ship!....

- Playing with people I know, making new friends. Cribbage/Rummikub are my favorites.
3. What state or country do you reside in?
What do you think tourists should definitely see?
- Grand Canyon and all that our country has to see.
4. What hobbies do you have?
- Reading, playing games. I try to use my hands for things like crocheting, knitting but don't stick with it.
5. Children? Grandchildren?
- Children 1 Grandchildren 1
6. Do you work? What kind of work do/did you do?
- Not anymore.
- I was a packer for a check printing company.
7. Any pets?
8. Are you under 30?___ 30 to 50? ___ or over 50? Male or Female?
- Female over 50
9. What's the farthest you've been from home?
- Prince Edward Island, Canada
10. If you could be anywhere right now, where would that be?
- Right here, with my daughter and grand.

I'm sure everyone understands that The Icon fairy loves to spread joy to as many players as possible , so for that reason players are only eligible to win the Icon Hunt prize once every six months. Post your finds for the hunt on the Icon Mania or you can pm them to GoldToken's Icon Fairy.
Be sure and check out the Icon Of The Day. Now that's a super cute fairy!
Does you club have its own icons? Check them out here - Club Icons - and message GoldToken's Icon Fairy for more details.

Do You Belong to a Club?? Why Not Join?
An Open Letter From johnnyyboy
The benefits of being a club member.
Joining a club is a fantastic way for GT players to play and be part of a club structure and to meet friends in various games.
As an active President of a good few of GT's clubs, here is what you get for your membership.
- Some clubs that play various game types and have lots of members.
- Some clubs that play only special game types. ie. Chess clubs, Backgammon clubs, Checkers club, Rummikub clubs and Shake It clubs just to name a few
- Some clubs just do automatic tourneys, where all you do is sign up and the games appear on your game sheet, usually with less entrants than GT site tourneys.
- Ladder games, like the automatic games, appear on your game sheet.
- Club v club team events - these games come to players automatically when the members sign up for them.
What are you waiting for - join a club today!

In other club news, friends of TerryS want to thank him for running his tournaments and for his very generous gifts to the winners.
